#2 Helping Families in need
We took a small team from the USA to help a single mom with 4 children. The children were constantly sick because the windows were broken and the walls were full of mildew. After getting started we found electrical problems and other easy things to fix that made their lives more comfortable. Today those children are well

#4 Medical aide Each year a medical clinic which consists of Doctors, Nurses and Pharmacists come to help the people of Israel. Our job was to provide a place, and organize the 3 day clinic. Their job was to treat the patients. The location this year in April was in Jericho, the West Bank, where over 400 patients were treated. As you can see, the needs are great among the people. They go back to their homes after being ministered to both spiritually and practically and talk about the Love of God working through the Christian people.

#5 June 2009
In June 2009 we organized an event for the Arab Christians in Bethlehem. This was to bring unity among the Orthodox Christians in Bethlehem and was the first time they trusted the Evangelical community to be involved enough to organize the event. We had dancers, puppets, bands, music, lunch for everyone, face painting, etc. There were at least 500 people gathered to hear about the Love of Jesus for them and to experience it through Evangelicals.
#6 Backpacks The boy on the left just received one of the backpacks that we received in Israel.
#7 Jewish children
LWBI contributes funds periodically to special schools for children with learning disabilities. The needs are great, and we can't contribute much, but the staff is blessed by knowing we as Christians care for the Jewish children.
#8 Remembering the Holocaust
LWBI remembering the Holocaust at Yad Vashem (Jerusalem's Holocaust Museum) on Holocaust Memorial Day. Part of our work is to understand and support the people of Israel in every way possible.
#9 Distribution to the Poor
LWBI takes food, normally large amount of staples to poor families. One out of every 5 people in Israel are under the poverty line. It's not hard to find people to help over here, so as we go about our Father's business we must also be practical in our giving. I think these kids were happy, even before they saw the chocolate. :)
#10 The Eastern Gate
The East Gate (Neh. 3:29) led directly to the temple and is probably what we know today as the Golden Gate. Tradition says that Jesus entered the temple on Palm Sunday through this gate. In the sixteenth century, the gate was sealed up with blocks of stone by the Turkish sultan, Sulayman the Magnificent. Jewish and Christian tradition both connect the Golden Gate with the coming of the Messiah to Jerusalem, and Muslims associate it with the future judgment.

#11 Sign post to everywhere
The attached picture of the sign I took on the Golan Heights. Here you see how close or far everything is. It amazed me that we were so close to Damascus, around 50 miles or less.
#12 The Sea of Galilee
Picture taken on the Sea of Galilee with Daniel Carmel and his worship boat called ‘Faith’. He’s the only Believer that has a boat and you can join in worship as he leads. He’s a professional musician and has a few CD’s out, so after the worship boat cruise you have an opportunity to buy a CD. To schedule a worship tour with him or to listen to his CD’s, go to: hebrew worship songs
#12 Moods of the Eastern Gate
Zechariah 14:2-4 (NKJV)
For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem; The city shall be taken, The houses rifled, And the women ravished. Half of the city shall go into captivity, But the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Then the LORD will go forth And fight against those nations, As He fights in the day of battle. And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, Which faces Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, From east to west, Making a very large valley; Half of the mountain shall move toward the north And half of it toward the south.
Jeremiah 43:1-4 (NKJV)
Now it happened, when Jeremiah had stopped speaking to all the people all the words of the LORD their God, for which the LORD their God had sent him to them, all these words, that Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the proud men spoke, saying to Jeremiah, "You speak falsely! The LORD our God has not sent you to say, 'Do not go to Egypt to dwell there.' But Baruch the son of Neriah has set you against us, to deliver us into the hand of the Chaldeans, that they may put us to death or carry us away captive to Babylon." So Johanan the son of Kareah, all the captains of the forces, and all the people would not obey the voice of the LORD, to remain in the land of Judah.
#13 Baptism in the Jordan
How many new Christians can be baptized in the Jordan River?. "Grateful" says "ALL OF THEM"
#14 Smiley
The Founders of 'Love Without Borders' were Smiley and Cheryl. Because Smiley was a Muslim and became a Christian, he was put in a Palestinian Prison and tortured for 2 years. After his miraculous release, Smiley and Cheryl founded 'Love Without Borders. The two took humanitarian aid and ministry material to people of all backgrounds in Israel and the West Bank. From the beginning of the Ministry (LWB) in 2002 many people have reached for Hope and found it in the Lord Jesus Christ. Because of leaving Islam, Smiley was separated from his home and family in the West Bank because it was too dangerous for him to live there. In 2008, Cheryl was able to accompany Smiley as he found asylum in one of the Shangan countries. Though we at Love Without Borders miss Smiley in Israel, we continue on with the work and many more have been baptized since 2008. One thing to keep in mind is that when Muslims come to the Lord Jesus, they learn to love their neighbors, and have no desire to harm them (namely the Jews) for any cause. We Praise God for the changes in these people's lives.
